Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Sassuolo and Frosinone take on each other at Mapei Stadium – Citta del Tricolore in what is expected to be a close Serie A encounter. The Neroverdi are on a four-game losing run in the national championship, with the team dropping to the relegation zone. Sassuolo are desperate to get back on course and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against Frosinone. Domenico Berardi suffered yet another injury at the weekend, with Samu Castillejo likely to replace him in the starting XI.
The Canarini, on the other hand, have collected only one point in total from the last five league matches. Frosinone have been struggling on the travels this season and given their poor away record of 0-3-10, home win should be considered. Abdou Harroui limped off with injury, with Reiner likely to step up, while all Kevin Bonifazi, Riccardo Marchizza, and Sergio Kalaj remain in the treatment room.
Highlighted Team (Frosinone):
Back in 1912 Frosinone were founded as Unione Sportiva Frusinate and it has to be noted that the colors of the team were originally red and blue. They were later changed to the current yellow and blue and the Canarini have been wearing those kits ever since. Frosinone made their first ever appearance in the Serie A in the 2015/2016 season, but they failed to secure the promotion.
The Canarini finished the season in 19th place in the standings, eight points behind Udinese, who eventually avoided relegation to Serie B. However, two years later Frosinone returned to the Italian top flight as they defeated Palermo 3-2 on aggregate in the play-offs final.
The club play their home games at Stadio Benito Stirpe, the stadium that was opened in 2017. The venue can hold 16,227 spectators and it is owned by the Municipality of Frosinone. The construction cost €20 million.
