Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Sassuolo play host to Genoa at their Mapei Stadium – Citta del Tricolore in the Serie A round 20. The Neroverdi suffered a heavy 3-0 loss to Bologna in their last game before the New Year break, but it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways. Obiang and Matheus Henrique are out of contention for the hosts, while Serbia international Filip Djuricic faces race against clock to be fit for the match.
The Rossoblu, on the other hand, played out a goalless draw with Atalanta in their last league fixture. Genoa are tough to beat at home, but given their poor away record, we believe that punters from all four corners of the world can find value in betting on Alessio Dionisi’s troops. Sturaro is banned for the visitors, while all Caicedo, Rovella, and Vanheusden miss out with injuries. Both Serpe and Criscito have been tested positive for coronavirus.
Highlighted Player (Francesco Magnanelli):
Francesco Magnanelli is a Sassuolo midfielder, who was born on 12 November, 1984. His main position is defensive midfield, but he plays as a central midfielder as well. Magnanelli began his senior career at Gubbio and he played for the club in lower leagues from 2000 to 2002.
He was part of Chievo during the 2002/2003 season, but he did not see any game action during his spelt with the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi outfit. The Italian footballer joined Fiorentina in 2003 and he moved to Sangiovannesse one year later. After making seven league appearances for the club, Francesco Magnanelli made probably the best decision of his career when he signed a contract with Sassuolo in June 2015.
He has been playing for the Neroverdi on regular basis and he scored one goal in 34 appearances for the club in the 2015/2016 Serie A campaign. His contract with Sassuolo expires on 30 June, 2017.
