Finland
Buoyed by a draw with France, Ukraine will be aiming to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they face Finland in Kiev. Andrii Shevchenko’s troops showed character in the opening match of their World Cup qualifying campaign, with Man City ace Zinchenko once again proving his worth. Given Ukraine’s display in the draw with les Tricolores, Shevchenko is unlikely to make changes to the starting XI.
Finland, on the other hand, shared the spoils with Bosnia (2-2) in their opener, with Teemu Pukki scoring a brace. Markku Kanerva’s troops are likely to stick to their attacking style of play, and given Ukraine’s attacking potential, we believe that punters can find value in betting on both teams to score. Union Berlin forward Joel Pohjanpalo is pushing for a start for the visitors. You should know that Ukraine defeated Finland 2-1 in the previous meeting between the two sides in a competitive match.
Highlighted Player (Andriy Yarmolenko):
Arguably the most exciting Ukrainian player at the moment, Andriy Yarmolenko is the 26-year-old forward, who can play wide as a winger and fill in numerous positions in attack. Over the past few years there has been a gathering feeling that the player has outgrown the Ukrainian League and that with the player surpassing the 200-game mark for Dynamo Kyiv Yarmolenko should be heading west to Europe’s brighter stage.
Wanted and scouted by Spanish giants Barcelona, Yarmolenko attracted interest from many other clubs, predominantly from the Premier League, and was even close to joining Everton in summer 2016, but the Goodison outfit’s offer came too late to the Ukrainian club.
Talented forward is a free-scoring machine who has already scored more than 115 goals for the club he spent his entire career with. The two-footed winger is equally adept through the middle and is a versatile force that would be a good addition to any self-respecting European side.
Yarmolenko made hi Ukraine debut in 2009 and has so far been capped 63 times, during which he scored 26 goals for the national set-up.

Finland national football team played their first international game before the World War 1. The Finns were beaten by fellow Nordic side Sweden (2-5) on October 22, 1911, but eleven years later they recorded their biggest ever win on the international stage.
Finland outclassed Estonia 10-2 in Helsinki and, speaking of their heaviest defeat, the team suffered a 13-0 loss to Germany in Leipzig during the World War II (1940). Finland national team became a member of FIFA back in 1908, but they have yet to qualify for the finals of the major tournament. The Finns did not participate in the European Championship finals as well, but several top-class footballers were part of their national football team in the past.
