Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Friday’s football game between Kortrijk and Cercle Brugge will open round 9 of the new Jupiler League campaign. Kortrijk are still eyeing their first win of the season, but they face a difficult task against Cercle Brugge, who are eyeing a spot in European competitions. Midfielder Marco Kana is back from suspension, while Thierry Ambrose is sidelined with an Achilles tendon. Both Youssef Challouk and David Henen are major doubts.
The visitors, on the other hand, aim to make amends for back-to-back defeats to RWDM and St Gilloise. Cercle Brugge are more of a team than Kortrijk and we predict that the visitors are going to prove their worth on the field. Keep in mind, though, that Senna Miangue is banned for the match following his sending-off in the 2-0 loss to Royale Union SG. Cercle Brugge emerged triumphant in four of the previous five meetings with Kortrijk in the Belgian top flight.
