Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Leuven will be aiming to make amends for back-to-back defeats to Genk and Cercle Brugge when they face Waasland-Beveren at Den Dreef. Leuven are eager to book their place in the Europa League playoffs, and we are positive that they will fight tooth and nail against Waasland-Beveren. Even though boss Marc Brys has some injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s clash, home win should be considered as this has to go down as a must-win game for the hosts.
The visitors, on the other hand, will take part in the Belgian second tier next season. The rock-bottom side failed to secure the Jupiler League survival, and given their shaky defence, we do not believe that they are capable of shocking Leuven at Den Dreef. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be Michael Frey, who scored a hat-trick in the 4-3 defeat to Kortrijk.
