Our prediction for this EFL Cup match:
Following a goalless draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League round 5, Newcastle United will be aiming to return to winning ways when they take on Bradford City in the EFL Cup last 32. The Magpies have turned their St. James’ Park into a real fortress and they are seen as hot favourites to win Wednesday’s encounter. Harvey Barnes is pushing for a start as well as summer signing Anthony Elanga, while Yoane Wissa, Jacob Ramsey, and Fabian Schar remain in the treatment room.
The Bantams, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City, but with the team being fully focused on the League One, we are tempted to bet on Newcastle United this time out. In their last meeting at the venue, back in 2000, Newcastle recorded a 2-1 win over Bradford, that will be without Pattison, Byrne, and Kavanagh in the EFL Cup clash.
Highlighted Player (Sandro Tonali):

After starting his youth career at Piacenza back in 2009, Sandro Tonali moved to Brescia three years later. The 181-cm-tall defender has been playing for le Rondinelle ever since and it has to be noted that he made his debut with the Stadio Mario Rigamonti outfit on August 26, 2017 in a 2-1 defeat to Avellino.
Sandro Tonali scored his first ever league goal for Brescia in a 4-2 loss to Salernitana on April 28, 2018. The talented midfielder, who was born in Lodi on May 8, 2000, represents Italy U21 team in international matches.
He made his debut with the Italy U21 national team on June 19, 2019 in a 1-0 defeat to Poland. His main position is defensive midfielder, but he is used as a central midfielder as well. Sandro’s preferred foot is right and his contract with Brescia should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Bradford):

Founded back in 1903, Bradford City are professional football club that compete in League Two. The Bantams are well known for their claret and amber shirts, whereas white is the dominant colour of their away kit. Bradford City maintain rivalries with Leeds United and Huddersfield Town, with the teams facing each other in the West Yorkshire derby.
The Bantams participated in the Bradford derby with local rivals Bradford Park Avenue in the past. Bradford City did remarkably well to win the FA Cup in 1911, with the team beating Newcastle United in the final. In 2013 the club made it to the League Cup final, where they suffered a heavy 5-0 loss to Swansea City in the title game.
Saint Kitts and Nevis international Ces Poss is the player with most appearances (502) for the club, while former Northern Ireland attacker Bobby Campbell is sitting in the top position in the Bradford City all-time top goalscorers list.
