Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
A spot in the Conference League second qualifying round will be at stake when Glentoran and Gzira face each other at the Oval on Thursday evening. Glentoran produced a fine display in a 2-2 draw with Gzira in the first leg and, as a result, the odds for home win have been dropping. A man to watch in the home team will be Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe, who opened the scoring in the first leg, while Ireland midfielder Fuad Sule is pushing for a start.
The Maltese, on the other hand, face an uphill task in the reverse fixture as Glentoran are a real force to be reckoned with at home. Since Darren Abdilla’s troops experienced all sorts of problems at the back in the first leg, we are tempted to put our money on the Northern Ireland outfit. In their last home game in the Conference League the Glens played out a 1-1 draw with The New Saints.
