Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Following an expected 3-1 loss at Basel, Pyunik Yerevan will look to give fans some cheer when they take on Slovan Bratislava at Republican Stadium. Pyunik have regained a much-needed confidence thanks to a 3-1 league win over BKMA, but they are still seen as underdogs in Thursday’s clash. Defender Zoran Gajic remains on the sidelines through injury, while both Ozbiliz and Zambrano are pushing for recalls after getting their names on the scoresheet in the last league fixtures.
Slovan, on the other hand, dropped two points in a goalless draw with Zalgiris in the opening match of their Conference League campaign. The Slovaks managed to keep a clean sheet in three of their last four games in all competitions, and seeing that Pyunik are tough to beat at home, a low-scoring affair is on the horizon. Midfielder Jaba Kankava is back from suspension for the visiting side.
