Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
Yeovil and Stevenage take on each other at Huish Park in what is expected to be a close FA Cup game. Yeovil set up a meeting with Stevenage by crushing Yate Town 5-0, and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach. A man to watch in the home team will be Scotland rising star Sonny Lo-Everton, who found the net in a 2-0 win over Wrexham.
The Boro, on the other hand, defeated nine-man MK Dons after extra-time in round 1. Stevenage have been having their ups and downs in the League Two of late, but they are surely capable of matching the National League side in the FA Cup. In their last meeting in a competitive match Stevenage defeated Yeovil, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself. Back then Alex Revell scored the only goal for the Boro.
Highlighted Player (Scott Cuthbert ):
Born in Alexandria, Scotland on June 15, 1987, Scott Cuthbert is a defender who plays for Stevenage in the League Two. Cuthbert is a product of the Celtic football academy, but he did not see any game action with the Hoops in the Scottish Premiership.
After ending his loan spells with Livingston and St. Mirren, the Scottish footballer joined Swindon Town in 2009 where he quickly established himself as a first-team regular. After scoring five goals in 80 appearances for the club, Scott Cuthbert moved to Leyton Orient before the start of the 2011/12 season.
After almost a five-year spell with the Brisbane Road outfit, the right-footed defender joined Stevenage in the summer of 2018, and he has been playing for the Posh ever since. He made his Stevenage debut in a 2-2 draw with Tranmere Rovers in the 2018/19 season opener. At the end of the campaign the Scottish footballer was named the club’s Player of the Year.
Highlighted Team (Stevenage):
Based in Hertfordshire, England, Stevenage Borough are a professional club that compete in the League Two. The Boro are well known for their red and white home hit, while dark blue is the dominant colour of their away kit. Stevenage play their home games at Broadhall Way, the stadium which can hold up to 6,722 spectators and they were founded in 1976.
The Boro have won FA Trophy on two occasions (2006/07, 2008/09), with the team clinching the Herts Senior Cup title in the 2008/09 season thanks to a 2-1 win over Cheshunt. Luton are considered one of the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in matches between the two sides.
In 2015 fighting broke out between rival fans near to the end of the clash at the Lamex. It has to be noted that Stevenage Borough were founded in 1976 after the bankruptcy of Stevenage Athletic.
