Promotion hopefuls Bolton will look to make a flying start to their League One campaign when they welcome Lincoln to University of Bolton Stadium on Saturday. The Trotters produced a thrilling offensive display in a 4-3 pre-season win over WBA, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Lincoln. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be new signing Carlos Gomes, who is likely to make life difficult for the opposition defenders.
The visitors, on the other hand, failed to impress in back-to-back defeats to Grimsby (0-2) and Rotherham (0-3), which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on the home side this time out. New Lincoln recruit Tyler Walker is widely expected to make his official debut against Bolton. In their last encounter at the venue the Trotters defeated the Imps 2-0.

Bolton Wanderers were formed as Christ Church Football Club back in 1874 and three years later they adopted their current name. The Trotters currently compete in the Championship and they play their home games at Macron Stadium, which was opened in 1997.
