Charlton Athletic play host to Plymouth at the Valley in what is expected to be a close League One game. The Red Robins continue with their habit of producing much better showings at home than on the travels, and they are surely capable of matching Plymouth in London. Both Leaburn and Payne are pushing for a start as head coach Ben Garner should opt to make changes to the team that suffered a 1-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.
The Pilgrims, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-0 win over Peterborough, but beating Charlton at the Valley is easier said than done. After spending a couple of seasons on loan at the likes of Oxford United, Milton Keynes Dons and Rotherham United, the English footballer signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Charlton Athletic in the winter of 2017. Jake quickly established himself as a first-team regular at the capital club, scoring 5 goals in 43 appearances in the 2017/2018 League One campaign.
However, he was out of contention for most of the 2018/2019 season with a serious knee injury. His main position is central midfielder, but he is capable of playing as both defensive and left midfielder as well.
