Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Gillingham play host to Crewe at their Priestfield Stadium in the League One round 23. The Gills do not seem to be at their sharpest ahead of Saturday’s clash, with the team losing each of their last five league fixtures. The good news for the hosts is that all Jamie Cumming, Ben Reeves, and David Tutonda have recovered from their respective injuries. The Railwaymen, on the other hand, suffered a 2-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday in their last league fixture.
Crewe are stuck at the bottom of the table, and given their poor away record in the 2021/2022 League One campaign, we do not believe that Gillingham will have a better chance than this to return to winning ways. All Murphy, Ramsay, and Johnson are pushing for a start for the visiting team, with Robertson, Griffiths, and Williams likely to drop to the bench.
