Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Huddersfield Town will look to build on back-to-back wins over Charlton Athletic and Leyton Orient when they take on Wigan Athletic on Matchday 18. The Terriers have been scoring goals for fun of late and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against Wigan. Mikel Miller limped off with injury in the last league match, with Josh Ruffels likely to step up.
The Latics, on the other hand, are on a four-game winning run in all competitions ahead of the trip to Huddersfield. Wigan defeated Barnsley and Northampton in the last two league games, but they need to keep on making progress if they are to secure a top-six finish. Even though there are no fresh injury worries in the away side, both Matthew Smith and Jonny Smith are in line for recalls after the duo came off the bench in the FA Cup triumph over Cambridge United. Anyhow, over 2.5 goals betting option should be considered as both sides have been producing fine performances in the League One of late.
