Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Victoria Park will host a postponed League Two game between Hartlepool and Mansfield Town. The Pools are stuck in the middle of the table with 51 points in their pocket, and, as things stand now, they will find it hard to book their place in the playoffs. Given their anything but good display in a 2-0 loss to Northampton, we do not believe that home win should be considered. Mark Shelton continues to miss out with injury, but Bryn Morris is back after overcoming an ankle problem.
The Yellows, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Rochdale (1-0) and Oldham (2-1), and seeing that a win over Hartlepool should see them climb to top seven, we are tempted to put our money on the visiting side. Lapsile is widely expected to return to Mansfield Town’s starting XI.
Highlighted Player (Jordan Bowery):
Born in Nottingham, England, on July 2, 1991, Jordan Bowery is a professional footballer who plays for Mansfield Town. Bowery played for a number of English clubs, but we should mentioned the notable ones only.
The Mansfield No. 9 was a part of the likes of Aston Villa, Bradford City, Rotherham United, and Crewe Alexandra in the past. Jordan Bowery joined the Yellows in the summer of 2020, signing for the club on a free transfer. He made his Mansfield Town debut in the League two in a goalless draw with Tranmere Rovers on September 12, 2020.
Bowery scored his first goal for the Yellows in a 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient on September 19, 2020. Centre-forward is the position that suits him the most, but he is used as both left and right winger as well. His preferred foot is right. Jordan Bowery has never played for the England national team.
Highlighted Team (Mansfield):
Founded in 1897, Mansfield Town are a professional club that compete in the League 2, the English fourth tier. The Stags are well known for their yellow shirts and blue shorts, while the colour of their away kit is black. Field Mill is the club’s home ground, the stadium with the capacity of 9,186.
The venue was built back in 1861 and renovated in 1999. Chesterfield and Notts County are regarded as the club’s fiercest rivals. Mansfield Town did well to win the Football League Trophy in 1986/1987 season, with the team beating Bristol City on penalties at Wembley Stadium.
The two teams played out a 1-1 draw in the regular time, with Kevin Kent and Glyn Riley scoring for Mansfield Town and Bristol City respectively. Goalkeeper Rod Arnold is the player with most appearances as he played 513 games for the Stags in all competitions.
