Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Following a 2-1 loss to Lille, Nantes will look to escape the Ligue 1, Nantes will be aiming to pick up vital three points in their battle for survival when they host Angers to their Stade de la Beaujoire on Matchday 38. Les Canaris face a must-win situation in the decider and we are positive that they will leave their hearts on the field. Andy Delort should be the only absentee in the home team, while experienced midfielder Moussa Sissoko is pushing for a start.
Les Scoistes, on the other hand, failed to secure the Ligue 1 survival and given their dreadful away record in the 2022/2023 season (1-3-14), we predict that the hosts are going to pick up all three points from the match. Ibrahima Niane misses out through suspension, while all Nabil Bentaleb, Faouzi Ghoulam, Amine Salama, Ali Kalla, and Ulrick Eneme-Ella remain in the recovery room.
Highlighted Player (Alban Lafont):
Alban Lafont is a French goalkeeper who plays for Ligue 1 side Toulouse. Born in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, Lafont joined AS Lattoise youth school at the age of nine and he stayed at the academy until 2014 when he moved to Toulouse.
The 193-cm-tall goalkeeper has established himself as a first-choice goalkeeper at Toulouse and it has to be noted that he made 36 appearances for the club in the 2016/2017 season, keeping 10 clean sheets in the process. Due to his dual citizenship, Alban Lafont is eligible to represent both Burkina Faso and France on international stage, but he has yet to play for the African team.
Alban Lafont represented les Tricolores at youth level and, no doubt, there is a bright future ahead of the talented shoot-stopper who was born on January 23, 1999. The rising star has a contract with Toulouse which expires on June 30, 2020.
Highlighted Team (Angers):
French Football Federation was founded in 1919, with French football club Angers being founded the same year. Les Scoistes returned to the French top flight at the end of the 2014/2015 season and they finished the 2015/2016 Ligue 1 campaign in ninth place in the standings.
Angers were having their ups and downs in the 2016/2017 season and, as a result, they finished 12th. Les Scoistes are well known for their black jerseys with white stripes, whilst the color of their away kits is white. Stade Raymond Kopa is the team’s home ground and the capacity of the stadium is 17.835.
The venues was opened back in 1912 and the stadium’s record attendance is 22.989 (April 26, 1969 vs. Olympique Marseille). Speaking of the club’s most notable players, we have to mention Fahid Ben Khalfallah, Vladica Kovacevic, Claudiu Keseru, Paul Alo’o, Amar Rouai and Cedric Daury. It has to be noted that the 2017/2018 season will be their 24th in the French top flight.
