Seattle Sounders
BMO Field will host Saturday’s MLS game between Los Angeles FC and Seattle Sounders, the two teams who have big ambitions for the new domestic campaign. Los Angeles aim to build on back-to-back wins over Chicago Fire and Toronto and they are seen as favourites to win the season opener as well. Both David Martinez and Hugo Lloris are back to contention, while Omar Campos and Eduard Atuesta have joined the squad.
Brian Schmetzer’s troops suffered a loss in each of their last three-warm up games, which is probably the main reason why we are going to bet on the home side this time out. New Seattle signing Danny Musovski is likely to make his MLS debut against Los Angeles FC, while Nicolas Lodeiro is no longer part of the team. Heber has left the club as well, while big-money signing Pedro de la Vega is likely to prove a handful for the opposition back-line.

Nicolas Lodeiro is an experienced midfielder, who played for Barrio Obrero and Nacional during his youth career. In 2007 he tasted senior-team football for the first time ever and it has to be noted that he scored nine goals in 43 appearances in the league for Nacional.
In January 2010 the Uruguayan footballer joined Ajax, but he played no more than 21 games in the Eredivisie during his spell with the Amsterdammers. In 2012 he returns to South America, signing a four-year deal with Botafogo. During his spell with O Glorioso, Nicolas Lodeiro represented Uruguay at 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The left-footed footballer was part of Corinthians and Boca Juniors before joining Seattle Sounders in 2016. Speaking of his international career, Lodeiro made his Uruguay debut against Costa Rica in the 2010 World Cup play-offs. The MLS star, who wears the No. 10 shirt, was born in Paysandu, Uruguay on March 21, 1989. In 2016 he won MLS Cup with Seattle Sounders.

Seeing that Los Angeles FC will be competing in Major League Soccer from the 2018 season, the club chiefs did well to reinforce the squad. Several high-profile players joined the club in the winter of 2018, with Mexican ace Carlos Vela being the biggest name to sign a deal with LAFC.
The new expansion team will host their rivals at Banc of California, the stadium which is planned to be opened on April 29, 2018. The venue should hold up to 22,000 spectators. Los Angeles FC will be coached by Bob Bradley in the 2018 MLS campaign and they will be wearing black and gold kits in the USA professional soccer league. Speaking of their bitterest rivals, there will be fireworks when Los Angeles FC face LA Galaxy in the Major League Soccer.
District 9 Ultras and Black Army 1850 are considered the club's biggest supporters groups and it has to be noted that they used to support Chivas USA. Los Angeles FC were founded on October 30, 2014.
