Our prediction for this MLS match:
Los Angeles will be aiming to extend their winning run to four games when they take on Seattle Sounders at Banc of California Stadium. Los Angeles FC look unstoppable at the moment, with the team aiming to retain top position in Western Conference, and we are positive that they will stick to their attacking style of play. Carlos Vela has been struggling to find his goal-scoring touch of late, but in-form striker Cristian Arango is likely to prove a handful for the opposition back-line.
Both Julian Gaines and Danny Musovski are sidelined with injuries, while Brian Rodriguez is a major doubt. The Sounders, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Colorado Rapids, but seeing that they have already suffered six defeats on the road this season, we are tempted to put our money on Carlos Vela and Co. All Joao Paulo, Raul Ruidiaz, and Obed Vargas are injured for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Carlos Vela):
Over the years Carlos Vela has established himself as one of best Mexican players. Vela was born in Cancun, Mexico, on March 1, 1989 and he played for Guadalajara before joining Arsenal youth school in 2005. The pacey left-footed winger played only 29 games for the Gunners in the Premier League before signing a deal with Real Sociedad.
Carlos Vela played for the likes of Celta Vigo, Salamanca, Osasuna and WBA on loan as well before joining the Basque outfit. Nowadays, the Mexican forward is a Los Angeles FC player and it has to be noted that he scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for the club in the 2018 MLS Season. He is naturally gifted player, quick, intelligent and with very good technique.
Carlos Vela did well to win two CONCACAF Gold Cups with Mexico national football team (2009, 2015) and he was named Real Sociedad player of the year in the 2011/2012 and the 2013/2014 seasons. His main position is right winger, but he is used as a second striker and a centre-forward as well.
Highlighted Team (Seattle Sounders):
Seattle Sounders are an American soccer club that compete in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer. The Sounders are owned by the likes of Joe Roth, Paul Allen, Drew Carey and Adrian Hanauer and they play their home games at CenturyLink Field.
The club won the 2016 MLS Cup, with the team beating Toronto FC on penalties in the trophy game at BMO Field. Swiss goalkeeper Stefan Frei won the MVP honor after pulling off several brilliant saves in the 2016 MLS Cup final.
Winning of the MLS Cup is undisputedly the club’s biggest success, but it has to be noted that the Sounders clinched the Supporters’ Shield trophy in 2014. Seattle hold rivalry with Portland Timbers, but Vancouver Whitecaps are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well.
Experienced attacker Clint Dempsey is undisputedly the club’s most significant star and he has been playing for the CenturyLink Field outfit since 2014. He scored eight goals in the league in the 2016 season and, no doubt, he helped the Sounders win their first ever MLS Cup.
