Following a 1-1 draw with San Jose Earthquakes, Los Angeles FC Will be aiming to return to winning ways in the Major League Soccer when they take on St Louis City on Thursday morning. Los Angeles FC suffered a dip in form, with the team failing to win the previous four league matches, but they are still seen as hot favourites to beat the newcomers on home soil. Experienced forward Carlos Vela is pushing for a recall to the starting XI, while defender Aaron Long is still on international duty. Goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau is banned for the match.
St Louis City, on the other hand, are eyeing their fourth consecutive league win, but beating Los Angeles FC at BMO Stadium is easier said than done. Anyhow, we are tempted to put our money on the Black and Gold as they want this win more than the visitors. The likes of Lowen, Klauss, and Nilsson miss out for the visiting side.

Over the years Carlos Vela has established himself as one of best Mexican players. Vela was born in Cancun, Mexico, on March 1, 1989 and he played for Guadalajara before joining Arsenal youth school in 2005. The pacey left-footed winger played only 29 games for the Gunners in the Premier League before signing a deal with Real Sociedad.
Carlos Vela played for the likes of Celta Vigo, Salamanca, Osasuna and WBA on loan as well before joining the Basque outfit. Nowadays, the Mexican forward is a Los Angeles FC player and it has to be noted that he scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for the club in the 2018 MLS Season. He is naturally gifted player, quick, intelligent and with very good technique.
Carlos Vela did well to win two CONCACAF Gold Cups with Mexico national football team (2009, 2015) and he was named Real Sociedad player of the year in the 2011/2012 and the 2013/2014 seasons. His main position is right winger, but he is used as a second striker and a centre-forward as well.

Seeing that Los Angeles FC will be competing in Major League Soccer from the 2018 season, the club chiefs did well to reinforce the squad. Several high-profile players joined the club in the winter of 2018, with Mexican ace Carlos Vela being the biggest name to sign a deal with LAFC.
The new expansion team will host their rivals at Banc of California, the stadium which is planned to be opened on April 29, 2018. The venue should hold up to 22,000 spectators.
