Vancouver Whitecaps welcome Austin to their BC Place in what is expected to be a close MLS game. The Canadians aim to build on back-to-back wins over Los Angeles Galaxy and Seattle Sounders, and seeing that they are five points behind the playoffs berth, this has to go down as yet another must-win game for the home side. Defender Cristian Gutierrez and Deiber Caicedo should be the only absentees in the home team.

Austin, on the other hand, are enjoying a very successful regular season, with the team sitting in second place ahead of Sunday’s showdown. Vancouver, though, want this win more than the visitors, who are with one eye on the playoffs. As for the away side, defender Freddy Kleemann has yet to recover from an Achilles tendon injury, whilst Argentina forward Maximiliano Uruti is pushing for a recall to the starting XI.
