Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
After crushing star-studded PSV at Philips Stadion, Feyenoord will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on Heerenveen on Matchday 6. Feyenoord impressed in the Eredivisie derby at the weekend, with the team quickly bouncing back from a 3-1 loss to Utrecht. The Rotterdammers aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at Heerenveen in the midweek clash.
Brian Linssen is widely expected to return to the starting XI, while Mark Diemers remains in the recovery room. Heerenveen, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Fortuna Sittard. The Blue-Whites continue to impress at home ground, but they are not regarded as good travelers. Given Feyenoord’s display in the last league match, home win should be considered. As for the visitors, both Kaib and Bochniewicz are sidelined with injuries, while Kongolo is a major doubt.
Highlighted Player (Leroy Fer):
After spending four years at Feyenoord, Leroy Fer joined FC Twente in 2011. On 13 July, 2013 Norwich City chiefs closed a four-year deal with Fer for a fee in the region of £4.4 million. The Dutch midfielder made 30 appearances for Norwich and he scored three goals for the Carrow Road outfit.
Following Norwich’s relegation from the elite division, the highly rated footballer went on to join Queens Park Rangers at the end of the 2013/2014 campaign. The Dutch footballer scored eight goals in 48 appearances for QPR, but on 1 February 2016 he was sent on loan to Swansea City. Fer made his move to Swansea permanent five months later.

Highlighted Team (Heerenveen):
Heerenveen is a Dutch football club that is well known for their white shirts with blue stripes. De Superfriezen (The Super Frisians) play home matches at Abe Lenstra Stadium, which has the capacity of 26,400 people.
Heerenveen have yet to win the Eredivisie title, but they impressed in the 1999/00 season, with the team finishing the process in second position in the standings. Thanks to a top-two finish, the club booked their place in the Champions League. Heerenveen, though, recorded only one in the group stages of the elite competition as they defeated Olympiakos 1-0 at home ground. De Superfizien retain a fierce rivals with Cambuur, and there have always been fireworks in clashes between the two teams.
It has to be noted that Heerenveen won the Dutch Cup in the 2008/09 season, with the team beating Twente on penalties in the title game. New Chelsea signing Hakim Ziyech played for Heerenveen at the start of his senior career.
