There will be fireworks when PSV and Feyenoord take on each other at Philips Stadion in the Eredivisie derby. Following a 1-1 draw with their bitter rivals Ajax, PSV did well to beat Fortuna SIttard on the road in their last league match, with the team keeping their title hopes alive. Roger Schmidt’s men need to keep on making progress if they are to put an end to Ajax’s dominance in the Dutch top flight.
Experienced attacker Eran Zahavi has been scoring goals for fun of late, meaning that the opposition defenders should have him at bay. Feyenoord, on the other hand, aim to build on a thrilling 6-0 win over VVV-Venlo. The Rotterdammers are a real force to be reckoned with at home, but seeing that they conceded 13 goals in total in the previous five away games in all competitions, home win should be considered. Both bosses can count on key players for Sunday’s derby.

Mario Gotze is a German midfielder, who played for Ronsberg and Eintrach Hombruch during his youth career before joining Borussia Dortmund in 2001. He made a great progress during his spell at the Borussia Dortmund’s youth academy and on 21 November, 2009 he made his Bundesliga debut for the Millionaires.
Gotze scored 22 goals in 83 league appearances for the club between 2009 and 2013 and he joined Borussia Dortmund’s bitterest rivals Bayern Munich on April, 2013. The German midfielder, who is capable of playing as a striker as well, failed to impress in the 2015/2016 Bundesliga campaign, but it has to be noted that he was struggling with injury at the start of the season.
Gotze won three Bundesliga trophies with Bayern Munich, but at the end of the 2015/2016 season he returned to Borussia Dortmund. In 2014 he represented Germany at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil and he scored the winner in the final against Argentina. Mario Gotze was born in Memmingen on 3 June, 1992.

Back in 1908 football club Wilhemina was founded in the pub De Vereeniging and they played their home games in blue-sleeved red shirts and white shorts. The club’s name was changed to Hillesluise in 1909 and soon they became RVV Celeritas.
Finally, in 1912 the club got a name SC Feijenoord. Feyenoord won their first Eredivisie trophy in 1924 and 75 years later they clinched their 14th domestic trophy, finishing the season 15 points clear of second-placed Willem II.
