Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Brentford will look to put an end to their three-game winless run in the Premier League when they face Wolverhampton on Matchday 7. The Bees have been struggling to find their best form of late, but they are still seen as favourites to beat the Wolves in front of home fans. As Brentford’s injury list includes the likes of Yoane Wissa, Gustavo Nunes, Aaron Hickey, Joshua Da Silva, Mathias Jensen, and Rico Henry, home win should not be considered. Midfielder Christian Norgaard has overcome his injury.
The visitors, on the other hand, are stuck at the bottom with only one point on their account. As Wolverhampton are eager to get back on course as well, we are tempted to bet on both teams to score. The likes of Enso Gonzalez, Boubacar Traore, Craig Dawson, Yerson Mosquera, and Bastien Meupiyou are sidelined with injuries, but Santiago Bueno should be fit for the match.
Highlighted Player (Hee-Chan Hwang):
Hwang Hee-Chan is a product of Pohang Steelers football academy. The Korean attacker, who was born in Chuncheon on January 26, 1996, started his senior career at FC Liefering of Austria and he scored 13 goals in 31 appearances for the club. The 177-cm tall striker currently plays for Red Bull Salzburg and you should bear in mind that he netted 12 goals for the club in the 2016/2017 season.
Hwang Hee-Chan won his second Austrian Bundesliga title with Salzburg in the 2016/2017 season, but the Red Bulls eventually failed to make it to the Champions League group stages. The Salzburg footballer made his South Korea debut in a 2-0 win over Canada on November 11, 2016.
Hee-Chan played regularly for the Korea national football team in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers and he scored one goal in the process. The Koreans eventually booked their place at the showpiece tournament in Russia, meaning that the Salzburg attacker will have a chance to prove his worth on the big stage.
Highlighted Team (Brentford):
Based in London, Brentford compete in the Championship and they were founded in 1898. Griffin Park has been the home ground of the club since 1904 and the capacity of the venue is 12,300.
The Bees have yet to play in the Premier League and it has to be noted that they made it to the FA Cup sixth round on four occasions (1937/1938, 1945/1946,1948/1949, 1988/1989). Brentford played in the League Cup round 4 in the 1982/1983 and 2010/2011 season and that is the club’s biggest success in the competition.
Brentford’s main rivals are Fulham and Queens Park Rangers and they take on each other in the West London Derby. The rivalry with the Cottagers is probably the biggest and you should bear in mind that the clashes between the two teams have their history of crowd violence. The colour of Brentford’s shirts is red and white and they wear black shorts.
