Rangers will be aiming to move one step closer to winning the Scottish Cup trophy when they welcome St. Johnstone at their Ibrox Stadium on Sunday. The Gers recorded a routine 2-0 win over their bitter rivals Celtic in the previous round, meaning that they are high on confidence ahead of the match. The two teams played out a 1-1 draw at McDiarmid Park in midweek, but it has to be noted that Steven Gerrard rested several first-team regulars in the Premier League clash.
Since Stevie G is going to field the best possible side in the Scottish Cup clash, home win should be considered. In the previous meeting between the two sides at Ibrox Stadium Rangers defeated St. Johnstone thanks to Ianis Hagi’s goal, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself.
