Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
Following a 2-0 win over Livingston, Celtic will look to retain top position in the standings when they take on Dundee on Matchday 20. The Hoops are seen as favourites to win the Boxing Day clash, but they will have to showcase their worth on the field. Both Liel Abada and James McCarthy are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the visiting team.
The Dark Blues, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Ross County, but given their seven-game losing run in meetings with Celtic, we do not believe that Tony Docherty’s troops are going to claim a major scalp. As for the home side, defender Antonio Portales misses out with a hamstring problem, while forward Diego Pineda is a major doubt and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off. In their last encounter at Dens Park Celtic defeated Dundee 4-2.
