Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Lezama Facilities will host Monday’s Segunda Division game between Amorebieta and Leganes. The Basques are fighting hard to secure the La Liga 2 survival, but they are four points behind the safe zone ahead of the visit of Leganes. Midfielder Javi Ros is pushing for a start after scoring as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Lugo, while both Josu Ozkoidi and Mikel San Jose should miss out with injuries.
The capital club, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Zaragoza. Leganes, though, are not regarded as good travelers, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Amorebieta’s party in Lezama. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team. Talented Guinea attacker Seydouba Cisse should keep his place in the starting XI after finding the net in the last league match.
Highlighted Player (Recio):
Recio is a Spanish footballer who was born in Malaga on January 11, 1991. Recio is a product of his home-town club Malaga and he has been playing for los Boquerones at senior level since 2010. The right-footed midfielder spent the 2013/2014 La Liga season on loan at Granada and he returned to Malaga at the end of the campaign.
It has to be noted that he scored four goals in 45 appearances for los Granadinos in the Spanish top flight. Recio made only 18 appearances for Malaga in La Liga in the 2016/2017 season, scoring three goals in the process, while providing two assists for his teammates.
Speaking of his international career, the midfielder made his debut with Spain U21 team on March 24, 2011 in a friendly against France. To make things even better for him, Recio represented Spain at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia later that year, making four appearances for La Roja at the showpiece tournament. Recio’s main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing a defensive midfielder as well.
Highlighted Team (Leganes):
Leganes are a Spanish football club that have mostly been playing in lower leagues. Los Pepineros play their home games at Batarque (Madrid) and the capacity of the stadium is just 8,138. Leganes secured their promotion to the Spanish La Liga for the first time ever in 2016 and, no doubt, that is considered the club’s biggest success.
Leganes’ bitterest rivals are fellow capital club Getafe and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other in the South Madrid derby.
The colour of the team’s home kit is white and blue, whilst their away kits are green. The likes of Pierre Webo, Samuel Eto’o, Ivan Zarandona, Jose Chamot, Catanha, Ruben Falcon, Jordi Lardin and Pedro Lago are famous players who were part of the Batarque outfit in the past. Lady Maria Victoria Pavon is the first female president in the history of the club and she has been in charge of the club since 2009.
