Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Ponferradina will look to overtake Sporting Gijon in top position when they take on Malaga in the Segunda Division round 6. La Ponfe have been performing above expectations at the start of the season, with the team beating promotion-chasing Almeria thanks to Adot Barandiaran’s goal at the weekend. The hosts are eyeing their fifth win of the process, but they will have to prove their worth on the field.
Los Boquerones, on the other hand, quickly bounced back from a loss to fellow Andalusian outfit Almeria, with the team beating Girona at home at the weekend. Malaga, though, are not regarded as good travelers, which is probably the main reason why we predict the hosts will pick up all three points from Sunday’s clash. In their last encounter in La Liga 2 Ponferradina defeated Malaga 2-0, and the history is likely to repeat itself.
