Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Pisa welcome Frosinone to their Arena Garibaldi – Stadio Romeo Anconetani in what is expected to be an exciting Serie B encounter. Pisa do not seem to be at their sharpest, with the team losing four of their last five league matches. The Nerazzurri, though, are eager to stay in the playoffs berth and we are positive that they will adopt an attack-minded approach against Frosinone. Midfielder Adam Nagy is back from suspension, while both Alessandro De Vitis and Ernesto Torregrossa are major doubts.
The Canarini, on the other hand, are eager to retain top position in the standings. The league leaders proved their worth in a 3-1 win over Reggina and we predict that they will take advantage of Pisa’s shaky defence. Karlo Lulic remains on the sidelines with an ACL injury, while all Anthony Oyono, Giuseppe Marciano, and Samuele Mulattieri are major doubts.
Highlighted Team (Frosinone):
Back in 1912 Frosinone were founded as Unione Sportiva Frusinate and it has to be noted that the colors of the team were originally red and blue. They were later changed to the current yellow and blue and the Canarini have been wearing those kits ever since. Frosinone made their first ever appearance in the Serie A in the 2015/2016 season, but they failed to secure the promotion.
The Canarini finished the season in 19th place in the standings, eight points behind Udinese, who eventually avoided relegation to Serie B. However, two years later Frosinone returned to the Italian top flight as they defeated Palermo 3-2 on aggregate in the play-offs final.
The club play their home games at Stadio Benito Stirpe, the stadium that was opened in 2017. The venue can hold 16,227 spectators and it is owned by the Municipality of Frosinone. The construction cost €20 million.
