Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Thursday’s football game between Sampdoria and Carrarese will bring down the curtain on day 19 of the new Serie A campaign. La Samp aim to put an end to their nine-game winless run in all competitions and, no doubt, a win over Carrarese will give them a much-needed confidence boost. Both Romagnoli and Bereszynski continue to miss out with injuries, while Alex Ferrari is closing in on a return. Fit-again midfielder Ronaldo Vieira could sneak into the starting XI this time out.
The Gli Azzurri, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Cosenza. Carrarese are a real force to be reckoned with at home, but given their difficulties on the road, we predict that Sampdoria are going to pick up vital three points from the Boxing Day clash. The good news for the visiting side is that midfielder Samuel Giovane is back from suspension.
