Sampdoria will be aiming to make amends for a 2-0 loss to Pisa when they welcome Venezia to their Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Wednesday evening. La Samp are eyeing their second win of the season and the bookies see them as slim favourites to win the midweek clash. Both Fabio Borini and Manuel De Luca are pushing for a start, whilst Leonardo Benedetti has yet to recover from a knee injury.
I Lagunari, on the other hand, kicked off the new Serie B campaign with a routine 3-0 win over Como, with the team sharing the spoils with Cosenza at the weekend. Venezia, though, are not regarded as good travellers and we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing more than one point from the Serie B derby.
