Our prediction for this Serie A match:
After surviving Cagliari at Unipol Domus, Atalanta will look to retain top position in the Serie A standings when they take on Empoli on Matchday 17. The Orobici look unstoppable at the moment and they must be high on confidence following ten consecutive wins in the national championship. Juan Cuadrado faces race against the clock to be fit for Sunday’s clash, while Gianluca Scamacca remains on the sidelines with a long-term injury.
The Azzurri, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 1-0 loss to Torino and given Atalanta’s excellent winning run in the Italian top flight, we predict that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed. In their last meeting in Bergamo Atalanta recorded a routine 2-0 win over Empoli, who will be without Haas and Pellegri in Sunday’s encounter. The likes of Fazzini, Solbakken, Brancolini, Ebuehi, Zurkowski, and Sazonov are major doubts.
