Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Udinese play host to Bologna at their Dacia Arena in the Serie A round 18. The Zebrette are eyeing their first league win since October 3, 2022, and they are likely to leave their hearts on the field. Since Udinese’s display in a 1-0 loss to Juve was anything but poor, we believe that home win should be considered. Experienced midfielder Tolgay Arslan is pushing for a start, while there are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
Meanwhile, the Rossoblu have been struggling at the start of 2023, with the team losing to both Roma and Atalanta in the last two league matches. Since the visitors are hit by injuries and suspensions, we predict that the hosts are going to pick up all three points from Sunday’s showdown. Both Medel and Dominguez are banned for the match, while all Bonifazi, Arnautovic, Barrow, Zirkzee, and De Silvestri should miss out with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Daniele Padelli):
Daniele Padelli is a professional footballer who played for the likes of Lecco and Como during his youth career. During his spell with Como, he caught the eye of Sampdoria scouts and went on to join the Serie A outfit in 2004. However, he did not see any game action during his spell at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
After spending several seasons on loan at Pizzighettone, Crotone, Liverpool, Pisa, Avellino and Bari he joined Udinese on 31 August, 2011. The Italian goalkeeper signed a loan deal with the Zebrette and he signed a permanent contract with the club on 27 August, 2012. However, it has to be noted that the 193-cm-tall shoot-stopper played no more than nine league games for Udinese between 2011 and 2013.
On 29 May, 2013 he joined Torino on a free transfer and he has been playing for Juve’s local rivals ever since. Padelli made 35 appearances for Torino in the 2015/2016 Serie A campaign and he conceded 50 goals in the process, while keeping six clean sheets.
Highlighted Team (Bologna):
Bologna FC 1909 is an Italian football club founded in 1909 and playing in the Serie A. The club hosts its games in the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara which holds a capacity of 40500 seats. The stadium is named after their former chairman. The club plays its home games in the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara since 1927.
The club colors of Bologna are blue and red and is one of the most successful football clubs in Italy winning the Serie A 7times and the Coppa Italia 2 times in the clubs history. Lately Bologna is not performing like their glory times anymore. The club is often relegated to the Serie B but manages to get back to the Serie A on and off. Another important person in the club is Joey Saputo, Canadian but with Italian roots, which is owner of Bologna.
