Sunday’s football game between Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt will bring down the curtain on day 23 of the 2022/2023 Bundesliga campaign. The Wolves aim to build on a 2-0 win over Koln, and they must be high on spirits ahead of the visit of Frankfurt. Defender Sebastiaan Bornauw is back from suspension, while Lukas Nmecha should recover in time to face die Adler. The visiting team, on the other hand, aim to recover from a 2-1 loss to Leipzig.
Since Eintracht Frankfurt produce much better showings at home than on the travels, we are tempted to put our money on draw. Djibril Sow is banned for the match, while fellow midfielders Mario Gotze and Eric Ebimbe are out of contention with injuries. In the first half of the season Wolfsburg defeated Frankfurt thanks to Maxence Lacroix’s goal, but the share of spoils is on the horizon this time out.

Mario Gotze is a German midfielder, who played for Ronsberg and Eintrach Hombruch during his youth career before joining Borussia Dortmund in 2001. He made a great progress during his spell at the Borussia Dortmund’s youth academy and on 21 November, 2009 he made his Bundesliga debut for the Millionaires.
Gotze scored 22 goals in 83 league appearances for the club between 2009 and 2013 and he joined Borussia Dortmund’s bitterest rivals Bayern Munich on April, 2013. The German midfielder, who is capable of playing as a striker as well, failed to impress in the 2015/2016 Bundesliga campaign, but it has to be noted that he was struggling with injury at the start of the season.
Gotze won three Bundesliga trophies with Bayern Munich, but at the end of the 2015/2016 season he returned to Borussia Dortmund. In 2014 he represented Germany at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil and he scored the winner in the final against Argentina. Mario Gotze was born in Memmingen on 3 June, 1992.

Wolfsburg are a German football club founded in the aftermath of the World War II (1945). Die Wolfe (The Wolves) wear green and white shirts and they play their home games at Volkswagen Arena. The capacity of the stadium is 30,000 and it was opened on 13 December, 2002.
It is well known that German car manufacturer Volkswagen are the club’s main sponsors. Wolfsburg won the Bundesliga trophy in 2009 and the likes of Edin Dzeko, Grafite and Zvjezdan Misimovic were part of the club’s golden generation.
You should bear in mind that Grafite and Dzeko scored 54 goals between each other in the 2008/2009 Bundesliga campaign and that the team clinched the trophy thanks to a 5-1 win over Werder Bremen on 23 May, 2009.
