Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Lech Poznan and Dudelange face each other at Stadion Miejski in a David-vs-Goliath Conference League game. Lech somehow survived Vikingur in the third qualifying round, but they head into Thursday’s clash following a 1-0 loss to Slask in their last league match. All Bukowski, Leszcynski, and Rzuchowski are out of contention through injuries for the home team.
Dudelange, on the other hand, were not capable of eliminating Malmo in the Europa League double-header, and they face yet another uphill task against the Poles. Since Lech are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we do not believe that the underdogs are capable of grabbing something from the first leg. Keep in mind, though, that Belgium midfielder Charles Morren is back from suspension. The two teams meet for the first time ever in European competitions.
Highlighted Player (Thomas Rogne):
Thomas Rogne is a Norwegian footballer who plays for Polish club Lech Poznan as a centre-back. The experienced defender spent his youth career at Norwegian clubs Lommedalen and Stabaek, and he continue wearing the blue shirt at senior level.
Rogne then joined Scottish giants Celtic in the winter of 2020, signing a three and a half-year contract with the club. The Norwegian footballer scored two goals in 50 appearances in the Scotland Premiership for the Hoops. Before moving to Lech Poznan in 2018, the towering defender (193 cm) played for the likes of Wigan Athletic, and IFK Goteborg as well.
Thomas Rogne made his Norway debut on February 29, 2012 in a friendly match against Northern Ireland. The Norwegians won the game by three goals to nil, with Rogne playing all 90 minutes. The Lech Poznan defender wears the No. 4 jersey at the Polish club and his preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Dudelange):
F91 Dudelange are the most famous Luxembourg club. Dudelange play their home games at Stade Jos Nosbaum stadium, which can hold no more than 2,558 spectators. Dudelange clinched their 14th trophy in the national championship in the 2017/2018 season, with the team finishing the campaign five points clear of Progres Niederkorn.
As a result, the Luxembourg champions booked their place in the Champions League qualifiers, but they failed to make it to the group stages of the elite competition as they were beaten by MOL Vidi of Hungaria in the two-legged tie. However, F91 Dudelange were producing thrilling displays in the Europa League qualifiers and, as a result, they make it to the group stages of the competition where they will face the likes of Milan, Real Betis and Olympiakos Piraeus.
The Luxembourg side wear sky blue and black shirts and black shorts when playing at home, whilst they away colours are yellow and black.
