Our prediction for this Ireland Premier Division match:
Dundalk will be aiming to make amends for a 3-1 loss to Waterford when they take on Longford at Oriel Park on Matchday 16. The Lilywhites made a slow start to the season, but the game against Drogheda could be the turning point for the home team. Experienced attacker Patrick Hoban is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts. Longford, on the other hand, are stuck at the bottom of the standings.
The rock-bottom side are on a five-game losing run in the Irish top flight, and given their shaky defence, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Dundalk. In their last meeting at Oriel Park Dundalk recorded a thrilling 4-3 win over Longford, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be Aaron Dobbs, who has found his goal-scoring touch of late.
