Our prediction for this Ireland Premier Division match:
Shamrock Rovers will be aiming to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Sligo Rovers when they take on Longford at Bishopsgate on Saturday. The Hoops are eager to regain top position in the standings, and we are positive that they will go for a win against Longford. Experienced midfielder Joey O’Brien, who suffered an injury in the defeat to Sligo, is unlikely to feature in Saturday’s clash.
Fellow midfielder Chris McCann, on the other hand, is pushing for a start after overcoming his injury. Daire Doyle’s troops are on a three-game losing run in the Irish Premier Division. Longford experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-1 loss to Drogheda, which is probably the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on the visiting team. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
