Our prediction for this Coppa Italia match:
Atalanta will be aiming to overcome a one-goal deficit in the Coppa Italia tie with Fiorentina when the two teams face each other at Gewiss Stadium on Wednesday evening. The Orobici did well to make it to the Europa League semis by shocking Liverpool in the double-header and it is no wonder the bookies see them as favourites to beat the Viola. Emil Holm limped off in a 2-1 win over Monza at the weekend, with Hans Hateboer likely to step up, while defender Giorgio Scalvini remains in the recovery room.
Fiorentina, on the other hand, defeated Salernitana 2-0 in their last league match, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Bergamo. As over the years Atalanta have turned their Gewiss Stadium into a real fortress, we predict that the visitors are going to return to Florence with their hands empty. Both Andrea Belotti and Giacomo Bonaventura are sidelined with injuries for the visiting team.
