Accrington
Following a 1-0 loss to Port Vale, Morecambe will be looking to put an end to their eight-game winless run in League One when they face Accrington on Matchday 24. The Shrimps are stuck at the bottom with only 15 points on their account, and, no doubt, they are desperate to give fans some cheer in their last game of the year. Keep in mind, though, that defender Donald Love misses out through suspension following his sending off in the Boxing Day defeat.
The Accy Stanley, on the other hand, are desperate to escape the danger zone. The visitors are undefeated in the previous three League One matches, and we predict that they will take advantage of the current situation in Morecambe’s dressing room. John Coleman is unlikely to make changes to the team that shared the spoils with Barnsley on Monday.

Born in Cork, the Republic of Ireland on October 25, 1992, Anthony O’Connor is a professional footballer who plays for Bradford City as a defender. His primary position is a centre-back, but he is used as both right-back and defensive midfielder as well.
The Irish footballer is a product of the Blackburn Rovers football academy, but he did not see any game action with the Riversiders at senior level. After ending his loan spells with the likes of Burton Albion, Torquay United, and Plymouth Argyle, Anthony O’Connor signed a permanent deal with the Pilgrims in 2015. At the end of the 2014/2015 season, O’Connor returned to Burton, signing a two-year contract with the Brewers.
In the summer of 2016, he moved to Scotland Premier League club Aberdeen where he scored five goals in 61 league appearances. In June 2018 he joined League Two side Bradford City. It has to be noted that Anthony O’Connor has eight caps with the Republic of Ireland U21 team.

Founded back in 1891 and reformed in 1968, Accrington Stanley are an English football club that compete in the League One. The original team competed in the Football League from 1921 to 1962, spending the last four seasons in Lancashire Combination.
The Accy are well known for their red home kit, whilst they wear sky blue shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels. The League One side play their home games at Crown Ground, the stadium which can hold up to 5,450 spectators (3,100 seated). Accrington have been playing at Crown Ground since 1970.
Listed as the all-time favourite player amongst fans, Chris Grimshaw is one of the most famous Accrington Stanley footballers. However, George Stewart is the team’s top scorer, netting 136 goals in total from 1954 to 1958. It has to be noted that the Accy have yet to represent England in European competitions.
