Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Brest will be aiming to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Nice when they take on Reims on Matchday 10. Brest are on a three-game losing run in the Ligue 1, with the team still eyeing their first win of the season. The hosts aim to escape the relegation zone, but the game against Reims will be anything but a walk in the park for les Pirates. Pierre-Gabriel is out of contention through suspension, with all Romain Del Castillo, Jere Uronen, Sebastien Cibois, Paul Lasne, and Christophe Herelle missing out through injuries.
Les Rouges et Blancs, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a 2-0 loss to Lens, and seeing that both sides will go for a win in Sunday’s clash, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. Hugo Ekitike is banned for the visiting team, while all Valon Berisha, Mathieu Cafaro, Moussa Doumbia, Fraser Horny, and Arber Zeneli are sidelined with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Ludovic Baal):
Ludovic Baal is a left-footed football player who was born on May 24, 1988. Baal was born in Paris, but he is a product of the Le Mans youth academy and it has to be noted that he made 12 appearances for the club in his first season with the MMArena outfit.
His main position is left-back, but he is capable of playing as a left midfielder as well. Considering that he is a French-born player, Ludovic Baal was illegible to play for both France and the French Guayana national team.
Baal decided to represent French Guayana on international stage and he made three appearances for the team in the group stages of the 2012 Caribbean Cup. He found the net in a 4-1 win over Anguilla, with Gary Pigree scoring a hat-trick for French Guayana. Ludovic Baal currently play for Rennes as a left-back and his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit expires on June 30, 2019.
Highlighted Team (Reims):
Reims are a French football club founded in 1931. Reims welcome their rivals at Stade Auguste Delaune, which can hold up to 21,684 people. Believe it or not, Reims won six Ligue 1 titles (1948/1949, 1952/1953, 1954/1955, 1957/1958, 1959/1960, 1961/1962). To make things even better for the fans, Reims participated in the European Cup final on two occasions.
In 1956 they faced Real Madrid in the title game and despite taking the lead after six minutes, the French side eventually suffered a 4-3 loss to los Blancos at Parc des Princes. Three years later Reims had a chance to get their revenge on Real Madrid, but the Spanish giants once again won the European Cup, with Mateos and Di Stefano finding the net in the 2-0 victory over Albert Batteux.
The club’s most notable footballer is Just Fontaine, who scored 13 goals for France at the 1958 FIFA World Cup finals. Reims’ home colours are red and white, with the team wearing white when playing on the road.
