The games end in the following results:

Olympique Marseille 3 – 0 Sporting Braga
Thanks to a 3-0 win over Braga Olympique Marseille moved one step closer to booking their place in the Europa League last 16. The Ligue 1 side opened the scoring after only four minutes, with Valere Germain finding the net from a close range following Dimitri Payet’s assist. OM continued to dominate the game, but they failed to double their lead before the half-time break. 25 minutes into the second half, Rudi Garcia’s men scored the second, with Valere Germain getting a show away from inside the box to beat the goalkeeper. Florian Thauvin put the game to bet five minutes later, with left-footed winger slotting the ball into the middle of the goal from the edge of the box. Rolando could have scored the fourth for Olympique Marseille in the 82nd minute of the game, but the ball went just wide of the right post.

4′ Valere Germain 1 – 0
69′ Valere Germain 2 – 0
74′ Florain Thauvin 3 – 0

Ostersunds 0 – 3 Arsenal
Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger decided not to rest too many first-team regulars in Thursday’s Europa League clash against Ostersunds and, as a result, the Gunners outclassed the Swedish side at Jamkraft Arena. The Premier League side took the lead after 13 minutes, with Nacho Monreal scoring from a close range after Ostersunds goalkeeper softly punched the ball away. 11 minutes later Arsenal doubled their lead, with Ostersunds centre-back Sotiris Papagiannopoulos scoring an own goal. The Gunners continued to create goal-scoring opportunities and 13 minutes into the second half Mesut Ozil scored the third for Arsene Wenger’s troops. The Germany international put the game to bed and, taking everything into account, Arsenal’s victory is well deserved as they had 17 goal attempts in the 3-0 win over Ostersunds. Nonetheless, it has to be noted that the Swedes had a penalty saved in the dying minutes of the match, with David Ospina pulling off a terrific save to deny Tom Pettersson.

13′ Nacho Monreal 0 – 1
24′ Papagiannopoulos 0 – 2
58′ Mesut Ozil 0 – 3

FC Copenhagen 1 – 4 Atletico Madrid
After failing to book their place in the Champions League knockout stages, Atletico Madrid are now on a quest to win the Europa League. However, los Rojiblancos did not make a flying start to their opener against FC Copenhagen, with the Danish outfit breaking the deadlock after 15 minutes. Viktor Fisher scored a stunning back-heel goal for the hosts, but their celebration did not last long. Six minutes later Spanish midfielder Saul Niguez did well to strike a perfect header into the roof of the net to make it 1-1. Eight minutes before the half-time break Atletico Madrid took the lead, with Kevin Gameiro scoring from a close range for the visitors. Diego Simeone’s men continued to dominate the game and after 71 minutes they sealed the victory, with Antoine Griezmann burring the ball into the bottom left corner inside the box. January signing Victor Vitolo set up the final score of the match (1-4), with the pacey winger rifling the ball low inside the left post from a close range.

15′ Viktor Fischer 1 – 0
21′ Saul Niguez 1 – 1
37′ Kevin Gameiro 1 – 2
71′ Antoine Griezmann 1 – 3
77′ Vitolo 1 – 4
